I believe today is the perfect day to indulge in self-care, whether you’re single or in a relationship. Taking time to appreciate each other’s presence and setting aside moments to connect is very important. However, it’s equally essential to make time for yourself or your partner on a regular basis, ideally every week, because the gesture of appreciation goes a long way.

Going out to a special place for dinner, dancing, watching a movie, trying something crafty together, or taking a stroll in a new town or city can be a wonderful way to celebrate. However, simple at-home moments can be just as meaningful—cooking or baking together, watching a movie, playing board games, or even doing a workout like yoga or meditation.

Small gestures can go a long way in appreciating yourself and your partner.
