New Year resolutions/goals

By

Last month, I tried multiple times to upload a new blog post. I promised myself I would do it each week, and week after week, I would keep pushing it to the following week. At some point, I started talking myself down, making myself think I failed, especially since this is one of my New Year’s Goals.

Then, one day, it dawned on me: why should I put so much pressure on myself? I can break down the goals and slowly ease into them. So, I focused on a few goals in January and so far it’s been great. Now I will incorporate a few more goals for February, blogging being one of them.

We always hear that January 2nd is “Quitters’ Day” or that most people give up a week later. But rarely do we hear people suggest slowly incorporating goals one at a time throughout the year. When we try to tackle all our goals at once, it becomes unbearable, stressful, and discouraging.

A gradual approach can help you ease into, manage your stress levels, manage your time management skills, and promote success. There are 11 months left in 2025—it’s never too late to start. In fact, February feels like a better way to start your New Year Resolutions/Goals. January often feels like a time to reset and ease back into routine after the holidays.

Since last month, I have been working toward two goals, and now I plan to incorporate two new ones. As February continues, I will keep you updated on my progress. To you, dear reader, I hope you feel comfortable sharing your journey of accomplishing your New Year’s goals. When do you think is the best time to start New Year’s resolutions?
